New for 2008, Rockport technologies is proud to introduce the Ankaa loudspeaker. The Ankaa's triple laminated, constrained mode damped enclosure with solid 4" thick baffle provides an excellent platform for housing its custom, carbon fiber sandwich composite cone midrange, and Scanspeak's new D30 tweeter. Tonal colors and instrumental textures are faithfully rendered by the Ankaa's remarkably agile, ultra high resolution midrange and high frequency drivers, and are a perfect accompaniment to its authoritative, yet nimble lower registers. Though modest in dimension, the Ankaa's astonishing dynamic presentation and harmonic richness will surprise and thrill the listener.

Like its siblings, the Ankaa maintains a minimal frontal profile through the side mounting of its 10" bass driver, affording an unobstructed view into the incredibly lifelike soundstage that it creates. The cabinet's variable section thicknes, (up to 2½" thick) gracefully curved side panels and crowned top and front surfaces not only create an elegant form, but also endow the enclosure with enormous stiffness and minimum resonant signature. The enclosure's large sweeping chambers and ever changing baffle dimensions virtually eliminate diffraction anomalies, while the Ankaa's visually stunning, raked back form and high gloss piano black finish will be a welcome addition to any decor.
